Darby Handcuffs (nickel-plated steel)

These Darby handcuffs made of nickel-plated steel have only one locking position. The inner diameter of the larger version is approx. 5.5 cm x 7 cm, that of the smaller version approx. 5.3 cm x 6.3 cm. The bows are approx. 2 cm wide and 3 mm thick. In contrast to most other Darby shackles, the key has an external thread - this is also known as the “Sheffield style”. Incidentally, although the bolt is spring-loaded, the cuffs do not have a “snap mechanism”, so you also have to use the key to close them. This makes the restraint particularly escape-proof.
